I just got a salmon and leek quiche this morning and it was amazing! Great croissants too.

The quiche is out of this world! Custardy and full of flavor, The Lorraine is my favorite but they’re all really good!

A wonderful little spot for delicious food with locally roasted coffee. They do pie tastings around Thanksgiving every year!

Adorable little bakery/café with a delicious selection of pastries and drinks. I highly recommend the lemon tart. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. The only downside is that parking is extremely limited, so expect to park on a nearby street instead of directly out front.

When in the area, I always stop by for quiche, granola and a delicious sandwich. Simply THEE best!

First time here. Cool local High School art. Friendly staff. Clean environment. The food was great. Brought to the table nice and hot. Suprising fare prices. I thought this would be much more. The Chicken Portabello sandwich was great

Thoroughly enjoyed the pie tasting last weekend, which have us a plate full of 7 slices of different pies (I can't wait for the next tasting). Also bought a fresh whole wheat sourdough bread, nom nom it was so delicious lightly toasted with butter melted into all the nooks and crannies. Oh gosh, guess I'll be heading there again this weekend (more please!)

Amazing cafe. Nice food and relaxing ambience. Better than local coffee chains around. Highly recommended.

Completely baffled.. I saw here on reviews where they had amazing breakfast sandwiches but when we got there today at 920am they hadn't gotten around to making them. Then when we expressed interest the guy said it would be a "really long time because they are working on other things". Am I crazy for not wanting my family to eat pie for breakfast on a Sat morning?! LAME.

Got a box of sugar free, really good cookies. Strawberry rubarb tart - i love this kind of desert, but so few places make it, and this place made it sooo good. Aesthetically, maybe it could use an upgrade, but it appeared clean. The parking lot is very small. overall, though, id describe it as a quaint little bakery with delicious pastries, and for a bakery, the food, not decor, is all that really matters, and they've done it right.

Nice pies, would be nice to add more vegetarian options but on the whole a very good place to hang out and have a bite.

I was there for the summer pie tasting. For $7 and you got 5 different pies is not bad. The pie crust is crunchy. Our favorite one is strawberry pie.

I couldn’t say more about this place! We came in with our two boys, something for everyone. The quiches were OUT OF THIS WORLD! Especially the Ham and Swiss! Cute quiet ambiance. Perfect breakfast! Just what we were looking for !

When in Sand City and you want a little bite to eat, stop in at Sweet Elena's.I had seen an ad for it in the local rag, Monterey weekly.We had soup and sandwiches. So tasty. Nicely toasted fresh bread. Homemade chicken vegetable soup. Full of fresh veggies and the chicken is finely shredded. MMM MMM GOODWe got a variety of cookies to go.They to did not disappoint. Just the right amount of sweetness and full flavor.

This place has the best quiche Lorraine I’ve ever tasted. My friend has an almond croissant that was dripping with liquid gold while she was eating it. I’ve never seen anything like that. She bought an apple pie and a rhubarb pie, which looked and smelled so good. She kept them out of my sight in the trunk. The waiter was very helpful too. I brought my dog and we were outside and they were cool about that. I would go here daily but I need to lose a few pounds. They have lots of options, though, so if you have any willpower whatsoever, you’ll be fine. Great biscotti too.

This place is Fantastic ~ 5 + stars!!! Bacon and egg croissant was the Best! All the cookies tasted homemade!!! Good latte. The spinach quiche and the blackberry tart were not good though.

The best bakery, coffee and sandwiches one the Peninsula. Secret hideaway!

Fabulous pastries galore!!! I don't think there is anything in this Cafe' that is not delicious! Everything is made with love and attention, using the finest ingredients. One critique would be the price...It is quite expensive!!! It would really help the lunchtime crowd if they offered lunch specials at a discounted rate.

Cosy place, a bit pricey. Keep in mind they charge for coffee refills. I was reprimanded by an employee even though I just got a glass of water, which is free so far. She thought I was getting a coffee refill. Not very pleasant.

Excellent pastries and rhubarb pie without any strawberries, which is increasingly rare. A real treat.

Fabulous pies.

My aunt introduced me to the pies here one Christmas and I fell in love. Now I will literly drive for 2 hours just to pick one up so good. You can taste the love backed into it. Just like if your grandma made it. My favorite is the strawberry rhubarb so sweet and s little bitter just perfect.

Sweet Elena's has kept our family in ready supply of quiches for many years. The quiches are rich and delicious, and there is no substitute!

This place is one awesome find. They have of the best breakfast sandwich I've ever tried. Cinnamon rolls is really good also, but you must eat it warmed up. As for the workers there, they're very attentive and very cheery.

Service is Outstanding. Homemade everything.

Yummy pies. They have tasting for Thanksgiving so you can taste and order what you want. It was great. We definitely want to go back to try other yummy things we saw they had.

Good pie, tasty, but very expensive. Bring your own drink...their selection is severely limited. $18 for two slices and coffee. We won't be returning

Although the service was not bad, it wasn't helpful either. I don't know what the other reviewers were rating but it couldn't have been on the basis of bakeries because this one fell dismally short of my expectations. I was there just an hour ago and ordered four items with some coffee. The pasteries tasted like day old supermarket food and the coffee wasn't anything to brag about. The atmosphere was okay but the selection and quality of everything else was suspect. I will not be returning.

Homemade mushroom soup (without dairy) was excellent. Help yourself coffee, nice touch. Outdoor seating, clean restroom. Funky decor. Definately a local spot. Off the beaten path. Great place to hang out while your car is being serviced at Hans auto.

I've only sampled the delicious pastries but the food items smelled and looked great! I will have to go back and try!! It's worth your time to at least visit!!
